With love in the air last February, several clubs organized a Winter Hearts Club Festival for Cheyenne High School. “The idea of Club Fests was developed by Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) club members. They thought it would be a great way to “introduce” the GSA to the Cheyenne community as well as encourage other clubs to participate, ” said Mrs. Bromley-Norwood the GSA club sponsor. Through the combined efforts of the talented and hardworking members of GSA, Key Club, SAVE Club, the Cheyenne Beautification Corps, Student Council, Poetry Club, and the Improv and Drama Club, GSA facilitated a successful, fun, and entertaining Friday night out for students and their families.

Clubs set up carnival booths and games, such as the snowball scoop, caricatures, face painting, bean bag “Angry Birds” toss, the fish toss, the sea of love, heart-attack, a photo booth, and doughnut on a string. One of Cheyenne’s school police officers also participated, demonstrating his “whip and nae nae” skills for all participants to see! The festival was amazingly fun. Another festival is scheduled for this spring.
